July 1, 1984 My first job was as a public relations rep for an airplane company. I was in charge of handing out brochures and answering questions about an ultralight airplane that was on display at a different mall every weekend. I got hired because I used to fly with my Dad all the time and he knew a guy, who knew a guy....I was only 14 years old and I got paid $8 per hour!

My first job was at Olan Mills when I was 16. I had to call people and ask if they would like to set up an appointment. It was insanely boring.

As a Graduate from University of Nebraska at Lincoln with an Electrical Engineering degree I found my first job with Rockwell International. I was part of a team of engineers designing cock pit instrumentation. We were involved in designing air speed and altitude indicators.
