Honesty. I was involved with an incredibly mendacious person, a fabulist, a paranoid Mitty whose very public system of lies and exaggerations almost destroyed me. When the lies began to contradict themselves and I saw the lies at work I was disgusted and disappointed and hurt and utterly ashamed that I'd allowed that person to do what they did, both behind my back and to my face.
