What do you love most about your home?

My home is located on one acre of land west of Brooks, Alberta. The yard is nicely landscaped with mature spruce trees on the perimeter and many deciduous trees in the front and back yards. I have several flower beds and raised beds for vegetable gardening. There is a screened in back deck where I sit and listen to the birds in the trees and watch them at the feeders. My home is peaceful and serene.

Where was your prom and who was your date?

I graduated from the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in 1962. Convocation exercises were held at the United Church in Lethbridge and the banquet and dance was at the Lethbride Exhibition building. My date was from Fernie, BC and I didn't know him very well so I can't remember his name. I went to my prom wearing a white cocktail length dress, turquoise high heels, elbow length white gloves and sunglasses to hide my black eye. The night before the prom, I was at the local play ground and missed a hard ball that was thrown to me. Despite putting vinegar soaked cloths on my eye, I ended up with a real shiner.
