Describe a memorable childhood adventure.

Walt Disney World, 1200 Epcot Resorts Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, USA My family drove from Virginia to Florida to visit Disney World and other places. This was during the gas shortages. We were stuck at a campground for a week while waiting for gas. I mostly remember the really high "Swiss Family Robinson" tree house - I was afraid of heights, and the construction of Space Mountain.

Marginal Way Walk, Ogunquit, ME 03907, USA Can't remember exactly went, but it might have been when I was 11. I learned to swim by diving into the ocean in knee deep water.

What is your favorite childhood memory of summer?

Grafton Notch State Park, Newry, ME 04261, USA Going up to Grafton Notch State Park with my mother and step-father, hiking up Step Falls and swimming in a part of Bear River with a ledge and a small waterfall. Second favorite memory would be blueberry picking with my family.

Describe your childhood home.

Wells, ME, USA We moved quite a bit for the first years of my life, but I guess my 'childhood' home is the one I lived in the longest before leaving for college. My family chipped in money to help to build the house. It was a nice home, with a habit of flooding in later years, on a 1 acre plot with a lot of trees and a lot of hornets at first. We built a granite 'stone wall' with a proper yard above it; most of the land was built on top of sand, so grass and gardens didn't grow well. It was a white gambrel with black shutters and a long rope swing in back.

What food brings back childhood memories?

Bald Hill Rd, Wells, ME 04090, USA Blueberries, because we used to go into the fields and pick wild ones with my grandfather (when I was very young), and continued the tradition when I was older.

What did your high school look like?

Wells High School, Wells, ME 04090, USA A "modern" two story brick affair, expandable to three stories. It was nestled in the woods off, which gave it a more relaxing affect than high school might otherwise have caused.

How did you get to and from school every day?

Wells High School, Wells, ME 04090, USA Except for one term in my sophomore year, I took the school bus or sometimes a bicycle (in nice spring/fall weather). For the last term in my sophomore year, my mother was also taking classes and she gave me rides (and ready tardy slips since she was sometimes late and didn't have homeroom.)

August 1990 Sunnyside Dr, Durham, NH 03824, USA The toe nail of one of my big toes had a hangnail and was so infected that the pus pushed its way through to the other side. There was no amount of novocaine that I could be given to numb it.

May 1984 1090 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090, USA I was a dish washer at a local donut shop/restaurant. My sisters had worked there in the past (much of the town had in their high school years). After a few weeks, of not goofing off like others, I was promoted to a donut cook.

University of Southern Maine at Portland, 96 Falmouth St, Portland, ME 04103-4864, USA That proper software construction (not programming) is not really taught well in college. That alone led to my career path of software configuration management.

How did you get into your line of work?

University of Southern Maine at Portland, 96 Falmouth St, Portland, ME 04103-4864, USA A professor at the university approached me about taking over for the existing system administrator. I took the job and worked my behind off with very little pay. When I left that job and the university, I got a low-paying job (but still more than the university job) in Massachusetts at a time when I could not even get a job at McDonald's in Maine.
