August 18, 1951 I was born in a quonset hut on Fort Richardson, an Army base, located on Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. My dad was in the Air Force and was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base during the Korean War.

When has your life taken an unpredictable turn?

October 15, 1983 My life changed drastically when my partner of almost 10 years died of a sudden acute heart attack. I knew in one second that when he died, my life would never be the same.
