My parents are both fantastic role models. I love both of them dearly, not only for being great parents, but being amazing people. My mom is so completely understanding of nearly any situation. She goes out of her way to relate and be kind to everyone around her. She shows people the gentle sideof Jesus by having that within herself. My dad, too, is wonderful. He's crazy strong- his inner strength is the most prominent I've ever seen. He somehow manages to make friends with everyone around him. He's a giver, and one of th funniest people I've ever me. Together, they form this awesome power couple. They bring together the two halves of Jesus- the gentle and the strong- and both demonstrate the incredible love every single day.

At this point, there are usually 3 people that I alternate telling first about good news, depending on the topic. However, I would usually tell my mom, my cousin Janelle, or my friend Jacquie.

My first kiss occurred in 8th grade, a couple weeks after my birthday, with my then-boyfriend, Joe. It was during recess, behind a tiny little playground structure, at an angle where no adults could see us. It was sweet and short, and his first kiss as well. It couldn't have been a happier moment.

I've ALWAYS liked boys. I never really got the whole "cooties" thing. In Kindergarten, I liked this little blond boy named Drew. I tried to kiss him one time when we were playing house, and the teachers got mad at me. He was absolutely darling, and definitely my first crush (that I can recall.)

In March of my freshman year, I was part of the cast of the musical Mulan. My role wasn't large, however, I had a one-line solo that I was working on as though I had the lead. With the aid of my brilliant drama director and help of everyone in charge of the production, I became better. My stage presence greatly improved. My confidence was staggering. Boy, was I ready to perform. It wasn't opening night that my cousin Janelle attended. She came to my Saturday afternoon performance, which had a few less people than most of the others. As a cast, our energy was bordering on low-key. However, when my solo came in the second scene, I was PUMPED. I knew Janelle was there, and she had threatened to do something painfully obnoxious, such as blow an air horn or something. No air horn was present, but at the end of the song, Janelle yelled my name so loud, people backstage asked each other and then myself about it. It was absolutely delightful and unforgettable.

I have lived on 1317 Blanchard Ave. since the day I was born. My neighborhood isn't the usual subdivision, in the sense that there are trees everywhere. The from door is shaped like an act, and leads into the front hall, which connects through more open arches to our living room and kitchen. The only doors on our first floor lead to the bathroom, basement, and outside, leaving open paths trough the living room, sunroom, and kitchen. If you take the stairs by the front door up, my room is the first door on the left. It's very small, and cramped sometimes, but I make the most of the space. In every sense of it, it is me, from the blue walls to the paisley bedspread. Also on the second floor is my parents' room, and my brothers. Colton and I share a bathroom, and my parents have their own as well. The entire house is quirky and lovely. One of my favorite things about my home is the treehouse my dad built my brother and I were little, which connects with a an epic zip line through our backyard. There is no better place to grow up.

My mom wasn't really the big cook in our house. However, she did make a signature meal for us now and then: chicken and rice. Granted, it was chicken cubes out of a Schwanns bag, and rice in our rice maker. I would douse my rice in butter and salt, giving it tons of impressive flavor. Sometimes, she'd even make some of these crazy delicious green beans, if we were lucky. My dad, on the other hand, always made mounds of spaghetti. As a child, I could probably eat an entire box of spaghetti all by myself. When my babysitter came over, we'd just eat noodles slaughtered in butter. Unhealthy? Yes. Memorable? Certainly.

My parents are David and Susan Frownfelter. My mom's maiden name is Owens, and she grew up squished between her older brother, Tom, and her younger brother, Paul. It seems to me that she got the best qualities of both of them, along with her own open-minded flair and infectious joy. My dad, David, was also a middle child. His older brother, Dan, and his younger brother, John, are both oddly different from him. But again, my dad received the best qualities of both, making him incredibly silly sometimes, but often quite serious as well, keeping a perfect balance of both. They met at the National Day of Prayer, and my mom asked him, beginning their love affair, what kind of car he drove. My father, the car enthusiast, found this ever-impressive. Nothing like a mutual interest in cars to begin a relationship. Quite ironically, my mom doesn't even really likes cars. But their marriage still stands as strong as it would if she did.

For a long period of time in my life, the Jonas Brothers made up my favorite band. Nick, Joe, and Kevin were the wallpaper of my room. I had never met them, but I knew that I loved them as well as anyone I actually did know. Not ony were they absolutely gorgeous, but they seemed so kind, and so fiercely real, even while being loved by 90% of teenage girls around the world. I saw them twice in concert. Th first time, though great fun, paled in comparison to the second. Oddly enough, the second time I saw the Jonas Brothers live, I was with my father at the Joe Louis Arena. The first time, I went with my friends. With my father was also my cousin Janelle, who makes everything a million times better anyway, and my beyond charming brother. Honor Society and KSM opened for them, and every song, though we didn't know the words, we belted st the top of our lungs. It to the Jonas Brothers forever to get onstage, but it just made our anticipation all the greater. When they finally did come ontage, they showed us the time of our lives with water guns, foam, and random acapella moments. Every single moment was so intensely happy. Our seats were good, each song was perfect, and we left hoarse and happy. It was unlike any concert I've been to before or since, and will most likely stay engraved in my memory forever.
