Drinking almost a whole fifth of Black Velvet whiskey (I don't even like hard liquor) while wandering around town on a football/Friday night and getting so drunk I don't remember most of it.
What I do remember includes getting "hung" on a chain-link fence outside of the Friendly's sandwich and ice cream shop and riding in the back of someone's station wagon with the rear window down so I could puke out the back. The station wagon got me home, but dumped me in my parent's driveway in a sorry state. I stumbled to the front door and rang the bell because the door was locked. When my parents came to the door, my mom started screaming that I was on drugs and could die. My dad knew better and took me for a long walk down Bassett toward the church.
To top things off, my aunt Patty and uncle Rege were visiting... I was pretty hungover the next morning, and I figure my folks saw how I learned my lesson. To this day I don't like hard liquor (other than tequila).
