I met David at a gay youth meeting called "GALIXY (Gay And Lesbian Idea eXchange for Youth)."
I was so nervous about going since I didn't have much prior exposure to other people like me, but decided to just step out of my comfort zone and go.
It was in downtown Orlando, and only lasted about an hour long. I remember sitting in this room with other gay youth like myself feeling so scared and nervous. All I wanted to do was just run out; and sure enough as the meeting ended I did just that.
I started walking very fast towards the truck to drive out of there, when suddenly this girl approaches me and starts talking to me. I kept my answers very short.
Then he came. David walked up to me, the girl walked away. -by the way, as a sidenote turns out that girl was Gladys. David sent her to slow me down so he could have enough time to use the bathroom before talking to me- He came up to me and started talking to me. He said he thought I was cute and wanted my phone number.
I'm not sure why I gave it too him. I was so scared that I couldn't really register if I thought he was cute or not, but I gave it too him and we talked for two weeks on the phone before finally meeting up again.

We met at summer camp at the Naval Academy. Ed walked over, sat down and said, "so, are you enjoying yourself?" To which I answered, "Oh, in a moderate sort of way."
