What kinds of local delicacies have you tried when visiting other countries?

Answered 22 months ago

Zemplínska šírava 07232, Slovakia

There was this deep fried dough that looked like a small hat that I tried in Slovakia. They would put garlic spread and shredded cheese on it. It is awesomely good! Everyone who tried it absolutely loved it! I'm pretty sure it's called Langoš.

I think the one most worth mentioning here would be the Monkey Ball Soup in northern Thailand in 1971-72.I never did find out exactly what was in it. A close second would be the Turkish coffee in rural Turkey in 1972. What no one told me was that there is about an inch of grounds in the bottom of the demitasse-style cup. After I downed one and got a mouthful, I figured it out.
