I think it would have to be when I agreed to meet Derrick and hear him out after I found out he was still married. My mother convinced me to not dump him, but to listen to what he had to say because everyone has a story. At that time, I committed to waiting for him, no matter how long it took.

I have already experienced the perfect date, there was never before or since that has been so perfect. It was Derrick and my first real date. We drove to St. Augustine for the day where we strolled through the streets, browsing through shops, having the best conversations. We had a beautiful lunch at 95 Cordova where we shared a bottle of wine in a dining room that only he and I shared. We took so many photos that day and had so much fun. It truly was a magical day.

I was sitting at the bar, having a drink with my friend Suzanne Clarke at Shannon's Irish Pub. We were supposed to just have a quick drink then move on, but we were so into our conversation that we lingered much longer. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation with the noise of the bar, especially over the obnoxious oaf that was bellowing opera two seats down from me. Suzanne and I started chatting with others around us and I inquired of the "Oaf" and asked a member of his party who he was if he was single. She said she had just met him this evening, but assured me he was indeed single. For me that was the end of it, but then I happened to glance over at him and that is when our eyes met and my life as I knew it would never be the same.

Martinsville, IN 46151, USA For the most part, I grew up on Patton Lake in Martinsville, IN. We moved there between my first and second grade years. Initially, my parents purchased the little, one bedroom cottage for a weekend home, but they loved it so much in the country that we moved there permanently. It was a wonderful place to grow up and I have the best memories of playing in the woods, fishing, and neighborhood get togethers where there was music and food flowing.
