Born in the Bronx, raised in New Jersey. My Italian roots mean I have more cousins than I can count and family and food always come first. My story has just begun and Proust is the place in which it will continue to unfold.

We really were just kidding about the site closing! It was just a great way to solicit tons of compliments from our fans :)
We're back in action and I'm totally psyched to get back on with the business of telling my story, and getting everyone close to me to continue to share their stories too.

I almost missed college graduation. My brother Damien and I went out the night before with two girls and slept through the alarm in the morning. We woke up about 15 miles away from DC in Fairfax VA and proceeded to tear down the highway in my car. I ran into the ceremony and jumped into line with friends just as the processionally was moving into the aisle. Close call!

All of it. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving leftovers in general is the sheer volume of leftovers which allows for some creative new dishes when everything becomes reinvented for breakfasts and lunches.

I've traveled with the family to my brother Greg's house in Nevada to have Thanksgiving dinner out there with my sister-in-law, niece and nephew. And, throughout my college years and the years that I lived in Washington DC, I'd travel "home for the holidays".

I can't think of a particular memory but I always loved the big Thanksgiving dinners in the house I grew up in. Aunts and uncles, cousins and friends would all join. We'd need to rent extra tables and chairs from the small rental place down the street and the house would be buzzing as everything got prepped.

On Thanksgiving, I usually take over cooking one or two of the side dishes to relieve my mother from the kitchen. And, I like to watch the thermometer on the turkey to make sure it comes out at the right time.
